A woman from Tennessee has been charged with a number of disturbing offenses, including downloading child pornography and recording her dog engaging in sexual acts with her.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) filed a complaint about Stephanie Weir, 33, alerting Memphis Police to her alleged crimes, leading to her arrest on Tuesday.
When police carried out a search warrant as instructed by the NCMEC, they found the disturbing images as well as a video of Weir playing with her pet dog. The NCMEC had previously informed authorities that Weir had child pornography on an online cloud account.
After being detained, she reportedly confessed to the crimes, and she is currently being held in custody on a $200,000 bond as she is accused of a number of crimes.
Following Weir's admission, she has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, criminal offense against animals, particularly aggravated exploitation of a minor, and aggravated unlawful photographing of a minor.
According to an affidavit, Synchronoss Technologies Inc., a New Jersey-based tech company, alerted the appropriate parties about a user who had "apparent child pornography" on their account. This led to the NCMEC filing a complaint.
The picture of a "child in a lascivious pose nude" that sparked an investigation into her was found after being flagged by Synchronoss, which also serves as Verizon's cloud platform provider.
Following the issuance of a search warrant, law enforcement discovered additional lewd photographs and videos, including those of children having sex with other children, children posing in the nude, and the video of Weir "having her pet dog perform a sex act on her."
According to the affidavit, the 33-year-old confessed to police that she had used her phone to look up child pornography and contact specific groups on social media while being questioned in custody.
She reportedly admitted to keeping the repulsive files on her cloud account and taking a nude photo of a toddler on her phone to send to someone else.

She is being held in the Shelby County Jail (shown) on a $200,000 bond. Weir is accused of sexual exploitation of children, animal cruelty, particularly aggravated exploitation of children, and aggravated unlawful photographing of children.
Weir admitted to recording that as well after seeing the video of the woman with her pet dog. She is expected to return to court on Monday.
